Y'all funny. GGG beats a guy that most of y'all were criticizing Cotto for even considering, and all of sudden Ward is scared of GGG. GGG looked like hammered dawg **** last night. He's impossible to miss. Ward would embarrass this boy.

nonsense. from what i recall the consensus was that rubio would have a fairly good chance at upsetting cotto, being the much bigger man and a decent puncher to boot

i think ward would probably beat golovkin too (if he wasn't too rusty after the long lay-off, that is) but no need to tell lies

Cotto was being criticized for fighting Rubio over guys like GGG and Canelo not simple for fighting Rubio. No need to get all defensive and insecure about GGG , Ward would beat him .

I still didn't notice: Was Ward anywhere near the ring last night? Was Ward watching tv? Has he posted anything on twitter so far?

last night showed me golovkin is not elite, no matter what ya'll say. give him a strate unrelenting pressure fighter that throws non stop, or a pure boxer with lateral movement and good accuracy and this boy is done

The same would be true for Floyd Mayweather Jr, but really, it is an unfair fight, for Mayweather can make 140 pounds if necessary, and GGG hits like a heavyweight in the 160 pound division.
You'd have to give David Lemieux at least a puncher's chance. For me, he is the one threat left at 160lbs.

Don't discount the impact of the weight jump, Ward is also very good on the inside and can make things messy. I favor Ward in a close fight, I think Bika and Kessler give Golovkin a tough fight too.

seriously? i don't see one aspect in which kessler outperforms golovkin, especially not this past-prime kessler

i see golovkin brutalising kessler and froch (and of course cotto and canelo) but being frustrated by ward

the only guy who stands a chance of beating ward any time soon is a slightly more experienced beterbiev

Good one. But First Cotto (who I respect but still I'm realistic) has to man up or vacate his belt taken from one legged shot fighter.

Well this fight went exactly how I thought it would go, even with the fast count.

Rubio fought like the Pillsbury Doughboy last night. Kinda looked like him in a way too.

Golovkin is "watchable" but so are car wrecks. The difference is, you don't run home and write about it on the internet after you see a car wreck.
