Comments Thread For: Eubank Brushes Off Saunder's Offer To Skip 10/25 Bout

BILLY JOE SAUNDERS offered Chris Eubank Jr. £20,000 to skip his next fight - only to have it thrown back in his face.

Eubank Jr’s press conference in London was gate-crashed by Saunders, who appeared via video link to deliver the offer and plead with his bitter rival to ditch his October 25 warm-up.

Saunders and Eubank Jr are set to go toe-to-toe on November 29 in London with the latter insisting on a warm-up fight this month in Liverpool.

It's a ploy by Eubanks Jr. He's really planning on faking an injury following this fight so he can't get away from Saunders. I called it first.

BJS isn't having a warm up, so why is Eubank? Eubank should have done far more in his boxing career already, so why waste time now?

He should have stepped up ages ago, fighting the likes of Adam Etches, and Nick Blackwell months or years ago.

Jr has been a pro for less than 3 years and only had 10 amateur fights so they are actually bringing him along quickly. Too quickly, in my opinion, Saunders will be too much, too soon, I reckon.

Not really. As Eubank has been beating everyone quite easily and readily so he should have known he could have stepped up the class a little earlier. Ideally he wouldn't be fighting BJS, and should have fought other guys like Blackwell or Etches or people of that kind to test the waters before BJS.

But Eubank talked about people not being in his class way too soon.

Saunders is so damn terrible and lacks stamina. Eubank Jr, despite all the hate he gets, should take him out relatively easily.
