Manny's resume isn't comparable to Ali's. Geez.I will have no problem where Manny will be placed in the history books. I have seen lots of great fighters who took on every challenge. I have seen Ali take on fighters where everyone thought he would lose. Win or lose, I respect how he challenged himself. Manny did the same when he moved up from 130 to 147 to fight Oscar with just 1 fight at 135 in between. Everyone including Floyd fans and Team Floyd thought that the fight was so risky for Manny that they thought it was a joke of a fight. Oscar was supposed to win by a landslide.
Floyd has never done something like the above nor does he come close to resumes such as Ali's and Manny's, for example. Now, I get someone such as Larry Holmes and Roy Jones Jr, who were in an era where the risky fights were almost non-existent until later in their careers but Floyd had the opportunities (PLURAL) and preferred to not fight them type of opponents. That is very different and will be part of Floyd's legacy. Like you say, is that terrible? Floyd will still be ranked high but that part will stick with him like glue.
Now its even too late. Sergio Martinez is past it, a Manny fight may happen but it will be way too late. Paul Williams is out ..........
Again, typical manny fan-trying to make legacy about who you didn't fight rather than your wins and losses.
Manny deserves better fans, the kind that can just appreciate him for what he did and his true place in history rather than trying to undermine all those ahead of him.
when will you manny fans learn that each an every time you knock someone above manny down, they will land on manny and still be above him and every time you try an elevate him his head will hit the feet of those above him, lifting them even higher.Comment

I agree. Boxing is better off without Floyd. Sure people fill the seats and pay PPV to watch him lose but his fights are not entertaining.i sure hope not. The faster we get this piece of shlt coward out of boxing the better the sport will be. Its been a good show. Its getting old now. We all know he wont step up and fight a real fight.
He can do nothing in his legacy that will erase the dark spot on his name for being the man who wouldnt for no money fight Manny Pacquiao. Nothing he can do at all will hide that fact!!!
Time to get some young bloods who are putting on exciting fights and fighting the best out there.Comment

If he fought everyone people say he should fight he would be fighting more than Sugar Ray Robinson. Insert whatever fighter from 135-160 that has had a KO in the past month and Floyd is usually ducking him, especially if it is an HBO or Top Rank fighter.Comment

Wrong, I compared Ali's and Manny's to Floyd's. I did not compare Manny's to Ali's. I just said compared to Floyd, both Ali and Manny have better resumes and both challenged themselves. I get it, you just trying to twist it because you can't stand the truth.Manny's resume isn't comparable to Ali's. Geez.

Floyd admits that he cherry picks. When will you Floyd fans get on board with that?Comment

Other than Pac who said No twice i dont see it.
I Know i heard all the stories and seen videos but that says nothing. He took the bigger route and became a superstar.
Health comes first is out of context and that has been provenComment

The Nielson ratings are drawn from 20,000 households in a country of 320,000,000. Political polling is done with similarly small samples. 20 boxing writers and historians (of widely varying opinions) is a fine sample size.
Of course lists change with time, who knows what happens or how long until we see the next blind survey. Although, there is one historical trend in boxing ATG lists. Defensive fighters tend to inch their way up lists as time goes (Sweet Pea, Pep, Hopkins) by while spectacular offensive fighters tend to be ranked highest at the peak of their prowess (RJJ, Pacquiao, Hearns) and then slide down as time passes.Comment

ali is ranked ahead of floyd-its fair to say his resume is better. Manny is not-so if you say it is that is purely done out of jealousy, hate and bitterness. Just be happy with what manny has done.Wrong, I compared Ali's and Manny's to Floyd's. I did not compare Manny's to Ali's. So Pac makes 40 mil and Floyd makes almost double yea thats fair.
Health comes first is definitely not taken out of content. Floyd doesnt like to engage and doesnt want to get hit. He throws one to two punches at a time for that reason. That is why he never fought Margarito. Floyd probably could have beaten him but he would have taken punishment.Comment
