I don't think it's a bad idea for Manny to move down in weight, it never seemed like he rehydrated much weight after weigh ins and usually comes in a little light. That being said, could be a great move if he fights guys like Garcia, Matthysse, Broner but we'd probably see more of a Postol, Vargas, Provodnikov which is average.

You know Flowmoes are twisted SOBs when you see them post in NSB. Pac could move back to featherweight and still kick Floyd's ass.

Most if not all of the top fighters at 140 are going to be at 147 next year.

Broner, Lucas, Danny, and Peterson will be at 147 so who is Manny going to fight?

Compare Pacquiao to every single LWW in the division and you will see that Pac is smaller than each and every one as far as natural weight. Even when Pac fights at 147, he comes in ring lighter than pretty much all the lww's do on fightnight. People are acting as if Pac is picking on smaller fighters at 140 when in reality, he's the smaller fighter.

I have no problem seeing him fight at 140 or 147 so long as he's facing top comp in each division.

You still have Barrera and JMM in their prime for Pac. That's better than JMM at a cw with floyd. JMM never fought at 142 before the fight.

Barrera wasn't exactly prime but still an ATG win for Pacquiao IMO. A fighter doesn't have to be prime for that to happen. And Mayweather's Marquez victory is better than Manny's, sorry. For starters it was a blowout win. And Marquez has since shown himself to be quite formidable above 140.

Good win but its tainted at the fact that he made JMM come up 2 divisions to face him and STILL cheated him on the scales by not making weight.

i think he should stay at 144

make the 140's gain a little, it will do them good

You joking right? Barrera was definitely in his prime facing Pacman. He was 29 with big wins prior and after.

That's now...JMM never fought at 142 cw before the Floyd fight which is what's important.

Well Marquez looked just as good in his second and third fights above 140 so I don't agree. If he cheated on the scales and weighed 160 or something I'd get you. But he was one pound lighter than Pacquiao the third time and 4lbs lighter the fourth time. The two pounds against Mayweather wasn't meaningful and wasn't the reason he got shutout.
