Haymon is Boxing's Pimp. He's hoarded more than 120 fighters, he's protecting them from each other, not letting them fight anyone who's not tied to Haymon, with the main objective to lead them into safe fights so both the hooker and the pimp can both get paid, and move on to the next trick. You're going to be terribly unhappy when you see this play out all thru 2015 and beyond. The contract he has was shown the other day by Boxing's Dan Rafael, and fighters agree to have no say in the opponent choice, can't fight anyone Haymon doesn't have the final say to, and that's final. So as we witnessed in Garcia not fighting Peterson on the same card, led to believe it could happen in December, it didn't, this is what all next year will look like thru Haymon, who's tied to Showtime, so enjoy getting defrauded. So if you're on the outside of Haymon's brothel of **********s, who do you have left to fight????

"I say this to you today and I really believe it and its true, that since Ali, there hasn’t been a better fighter, better boxer than Floyd Mayweather. This young man has the teqhnique and the ability which puts him in my book ahead of such greats as Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler and all the other great fighters that I’ve seen in my career. And there is NOBODY that combines all the skills of Floyd mayweather." -BOB ARUM

You MAY have had a case to bring Floyd into the excuse you're making for Pac.

At the end of the day, Mayweather actually fights guys who actually fight at 147. Pac hasn't been doing that for some time so its only fitting that he moves down. However the other problem here is, we might end up seeing Pac fight at 140 vs guys who fight at 135.

But again, Pac is a welter weight. Has been fighting at welter weight and there is no excuse for him to move down unless he feels he can no longer fight guys in his division which he's pretty much made clear, at least for a few years now anyway.
i think they're both getting to old to fight serious, tough competition.but you have some valid points.

Haymon is great for his fighters in maximizin revenue for minimal risk BUT hes terri le for the sport as s whole and it's up to the networks to put their foot down. Why did shotme buy that terrible card.it seems pretty simple to me, they should have said we're not paying for these fights unless Garcia fights Peterson. End of story.

Floyd is afraid of pac which would've generated absurd $$$. GGG isn't that we'll known to hardcover fans and is a bigger risk. No way in hell- 0.0% chance of that fight happening

Floyd doesn't have a set of ballz that big! Hell, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, and Duran had 9 FIGHTS amongst each other!!!! Floyd would become a rap artist had he needed to come up in that era.
