i'm sure he'll be available for both jr welterweight, and welterweight..alot of boxers have fought in 2 divisions.for instance floyd mayweather has the 147/154 lb titles.but now it's going to be played as an issue on nsb.

It's ironic that Floyd worshipers are talking about Pac dodging the tougher division, while their daddy (who's considered the best at 147) is ducking him for years, so why should he even try to justify himself to them? But I'm a fool for even trying to show them the obvious... (Plus to me there is great possible match ups for Pac in both divisions, with that we could see him knocking people out again if he goes to 140, and it isn't like he couldn't go back up in weight if there was some interesting offer, like if your daddy Floyd grow some balls and decide to fight against him for exemple...)
At the end I'm tired of all the Pac-Floyd talk on this board, there is no other topic beside those about them two.

He'll be able to do 140 by not drinking water for a few days. He could probably make 135 easily enough tho there's nothing there for him.

Mayweather is a natural 147lb fighter who fights bigger guys at 154lbs. It is another one of the mystifying reasons that Floyd won't fight Pacquiao - he is naturally the bigger man. Imagine what would have been said about Sugar Ray Leonard if he'd ducked Duran?
Hasn't Manny weighed in on the upside of 148 lbs for most of his fights? I sure he and Floyd are close to the same weight.

I would say Khan but it seems the majority of the public as well as Floyd say no.

Pacquiao has more intriguing fight options at 147 and now 140!

Hell Maidana has more fight options than Floyd!

If he avoids Emmanuel he has Cotto.

              Maybe..and I say maybe..maybe Danny maybe.

Idk why they keep saying Danny's name, he's a Haymon fighter moving up in weight, and he more than likely not staying at GB after all the BS is done. Pac is fighting Mickey Garcia, Terence crawford and Jesse vargas to finish out his career.

Yeah, the problem with that is, like Pac, Mayweather hasn't fought at 154 consecutively. In fact he's only moved up when the money was huge/big name. Other than that he fights at 147, like Pac. It would be different if Floyd stayed fighting at 154 for nearly 6 years like Pac has been at 147 and THEN moved down. You MAY have had a case to bring Floyd into the excuse you're making for Pac.

At the end of the day, Mayweather actually fights guys who actually fight at 147. Pac hasn't been doing that for some time so its only fitting that he moves down. However the other problem here is, we might end up seeing Pac fight at 140 vs guys who fight at 135.

But again, Pac is a welter weight. Has been fighting at welter weight and there is no excuse for him to move down unless he feels he can no longer fight guys in his division which he's pretty much made clear, at least for a few years now anyway.
