Who is more afraid of fighting the other...who has more to lose by losing to the other dude...
the 57-5 guy or 47-0 guy? Pacmans fanfare and legacy isnt there because he's undefeated.

Bear in mind that Pac has fought 4 times in JMM a guy he's gone toe to toe with and was KOd by. Why is Pac afraid of Floyd now? Pac is not undefeated and shouldn't be worried of getting KOd. with Floyd.
Right now its just pride. He feels like he is a better man than Floyd and he feels that he doesnt need to fight him to prove it. He knows how much his people hate Floyd and he would never want them to see him lose to him. I feel like Pacquiao thinks that fighting Mayweather is beneath him. He feels like he has already won the media war and the fight for public opinion so he is some what satisfied with that. I think he would rather not risk losing that by fighting him and losing in the ring and actually having to show Mayweather some respect face to face as a man when the fight is over. In the end what Pacquiao has to lose is his media darling status and some of the adoration of the Phillipine population if he were to lose a fight with Mayweather. At the end of 2009 however it was a different case. Bob Arum knew that he could get a lot more money out of Pacquiao if he fought and beat lots of lesser opponents than if he went for the grand crescendo of the sport in a Mayweather fight and risk him losing. Mayweather is the last master in the video game. If you lose to him you start over at the beginning again when you come back. Bob Arum made a smart business choice for keeping his fighter out of the ring with Mayweather because even though the fight is less interesting it would be bigger now than it would have been then. The last almost five years of boxing have been all about the fight that never happened and during that time Manny Pacquiao has become a bigger name than he was then and the myth of the fight itself has grown.

Pac has beaten Barrera, Morales, JMM at their prime.
when he beat Morales he wasn't an ATG, he had just lost to Zahir. Barrera had resurrected his career after upsetting Hamed. the 2nd time he beat Barrera was 2007. Barrera was top 5 p4p-same as hatton, JMM, and SHane.

Manny defeated JMM at CW also.

An ATG is an ATG....they're not an ATG only in certain parts of they're careers. You're splitting hairs now.

Lmfao....so he's so prideful and confident so he doesn't feel the need to fight the #1/2 of his era. Sure....

At a catchweigt huh? You make it seem as if the catchweight wasnt in place strictly to benefit Marquez

barrea is pacquiao's only legitimate atg win even though he had been in a ton of wars.....
morales was not prime when pacquiao finally beat him
pacquiao never beat jmm in my eyes.
floyd has fought the better versions of their common opponents with the exception of marquez(which i had pacquiao losing all four fights)

an argument can be made for either fighter imo.

I guess Frazier beating ali is the same as berbick beating him.
