Comments Thread For: Walters Warns Donaire: I'm Going For The Knockout!

WBA 'regular' featherweight champion Nicholas Walters (24-0, 20KOs) is not focused on securing a twelve round decision win this coming Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. He wants to score an impressive knockout victory over Nonito Donaire (33-2, 21KOs), who owns the WBA's super title at 126-pounds.

Donaire has never been stopped. Walters admits that achieving a knockout victory could be a very tough task to accomplish. He might be forced to work very hard in order to get that knockout, but he's willing to do whatever it takes to get there.

The faster punches of Donaire should get there first but I like the toughness and attitude of this kid. I say if Donaire wins its by KO, whereas it looks to me like Walters could outbox Donaire.

To coin a Bruce Lee term with a twist - Mitt's don't hit back.

Walters is a great fighter. Nonito is good too and I cant wait. Fights like these are rarely made and I hope Walters wins.

Every day there is an article where he says he is going to knock Donaire out and sometimes changes the round. Sounds like he is trying to convince himself of something.
