Ward is a much bigger man, he fought at light heavyweight in the amateurs, while GGG fought at light welterweight, welterweight and middleweight.

So why do Ward fans want him to fight someone moving up from a smaller weight class?

Golovkin can't get good fights at 160 so he is willing to move up to 168 to fight Chavez Jr. Since he is willing to move up to that weight class anyway then why can't he fight Ward?

Thats exactly the whole point. He's willing to go to 168 and fight chavez jr for no belt, but when it comes to ward at 168 for the lineal title and a spot on the p4p rankings, "it makes no financial sense".
