I don't think Canelo vs Cotto would do more than Mayweather vs Garcia. I agree with this guy in the vid. He is making a good case for why Mayweather would fight Garcia.

Seriously dude,Ingram Jones is wrong.I'm sure Khan won the poll that Mayweather put up for his next opponent back then.Secondly,Danny Garcia doesn't really do great numbers for Mayweather to even consider getting a high paycheck.I'm sure showtime will want to recoup some of the money they splashed on that ridiculous contract they gave Floyd.

Khan does great numbers and has a huge following in the UK and the middle East,that to me would be a better business move if i was Floyd.

TR can't make any match-up involving Pac that tops Cotto/Canelo. There aren't many match-ups in boxing that are equal to or better than Cotto/Canelo.

He has done great numbers, He did good numbers against Salka. 808K. Thats impressive. He did around 1.1 Million against Herrera. He did 831k against Zab Judah. He did 729K vs Morales in the second fight.

Floyd is probably trying to scare them to see if they will back down from the date, but if they do sign to fight in May, I doubt Showtime and Floyd would go heads up with them on the same day.

He is 100% correct. Even outside of BoxingScene, it's the same thing. Floyd goes overseas and gets into a random conversation with some random woman about who he is, and that 1 minute YouTube clip goes viral within a single day.

And then here, that same thread gets like 50 pages.

Any ****** video goes viral if it involves a celebrity these days. There was nothing random about that video it was clearly intended to catch peoples attention with that ridiculous conversation. Floyd is the biggest current star in boxing, but in now way shape or form is he "boxing". I'm taking about people who watch and attend boxing throughout the year, not who people choose to gossip about.

Showtime has everything to lose here there is no way they let FLoyd go head to head against Canelo/Cotto. They have to be ensured of a return on their investment of $32 million a fight.

There is only so much boxing PPV buying audience out there, even if the total would be a million buys you have to bet that conservatively Canelo/Cotto would at least pull 30% of that, 300k buys for Golden Boy card and 700k buys for Floyd would be a big lose for Showtime. Not to mention Floyd's last fight was a snoozer, and public opinion of him is down, Hisanic card with Cotto/Canelo and this number could be much lower for Showtime.

Advantage Golden boy since anything over 300k would be a bonus for them, Showtime loses out big time here, I dont see them going head to head.

No one knows what canelo or cotto will ask for to be in this fight so there really is no way to use that logic.
