You mean it's a good deal because it's based on the assumption that his ass will get whooped by Korovob. And he has to give up his belt to get the "good deal." What exactly are you saying?

Hardly my hero but I support him, ginger fought for the belt at a catch weight he didn't make, when Lara has fought he has obliged because he can't dictate $h1t, like your ginger bread, in any case I'm not a fan of catch weights...

I never have a problem with fighters trying to get paid. Check my post history and you will see I am consistent on this issue. So I'm fine with Jhonny looking out for his bottom line.

What gets to me, though, is all of these hypocrites who will call certain boxers chickens and cowards when they think business first...but then turn right around and excuse their "Mexican warriors" when they do the exact same thing.

That's bull**** and I'll keep calling people out on it when I see it.

I am still in his corner and so are countless others . . . but he should stay at 122lbs where at least he has some bargaining power with two titles. The move up makes little sense when no one up there is eager to fight him either . . . plus he would have nothing to bargain with. He should fight his mandatory for the WBO by facing Genesis Servania this fall . . . just crush the kid who is the undefeated #2 guy at 25-0 then move on to bigger fights in 2015 . . . NBC Sports . . . ESPN2 . . . Fox Sports Network . . . even Telemundo & Univison shouldn't be overlooked as television venues for Rigondeaux vs. Servania

He's saying it's okay to duck fights if you're a Haymon fighter. Boxing is business. It's not okay if you're not.

The problem is it's not the exact same thing. Rigo and Jhonny don't even fight in the same division and Rigo doesn't have any intentions of moving up. The other examples were guys who fought in the same division and who seemed to be destined to fight for years and yet nothing was ever finalized.

Rigo says that he is willing to move up to fight Jhonny Gonzalez.

"One fighter Gonzalez is not really interested in facing is WBA/WBO super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux, who recently said he was willing to go up a few pounds to face Gonzalez."

WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (57-8, 48KOs) plans to sit ringside on Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California - when Nonito Donaire and Nicholas Walters will battle for WBA's version of the 126-pound crown. Gonzalez reclaimed his WBC title at the very same venue last August, when he stopped Abner Mares in the first round of action.

There's no certainty in that statement though. He might request a catchweight and will probably only agree if the money's right. Let's face it Jhonny isn't a big name either so it's highly unlikely they get a big purse, the risk of moving up in weight for Rigo might not be worth the reward.

Without a link this is just pure speculation. Searching on google this returns nothing which clearly means this is not true.
