Very disappointing comments on the first page. Almost pathetic.
Wladimir Klitschko is an ambassador to the sport of boxing. He is the Heavyweight champion of the world and the king of boxing, at the moment.
You guys are saying he should (illegally) fight Briggs and "teach a lesson" to a delusional and crazy man acting like a psychopath? First of all..... Wladimir Klistchko would put Shannon Briggs into a coma anywhere outside of a boxing ring, he is a SPORTSMEN, not a criminal- which it would indeed be just that, a criminal act.
Second of all...... to shut him up just fight him in the ring? Fight SHANNON BRIGGS in the ring? Look say what you want about some of his recent voluntary opponents..... but keeping in mind there was limited options at those times and severely contenders were ducking and openly said they were not ready for him. BUT the fact of the matter is Wlad has big fish to fry. He's about to fight the second best HW in the world, not to mention he's going to have mandatory fights next year....... and then he has unification bout to go after.
Not only is it ludicrous to even mention Wlad fighting Briggs voluntarily, but its not like he worked his way up the rankings and earned a shot. That would be a whole different story. The fact is: Shannon Briggs is ranked on no sanctioning bodies rankings, and the so called "reporters" who are just giving him attention and making these borderline-criminal-harassing acts public and "pushing" Wlad to fight him voluntarily should be ashamed of themselves.
Get up the rankings, sure, if Wlad needs a voluntary opponent, you could get a shot. In the mean time, he has mandatory fighters and unification bout to worry about.

Yeah a lot of people are falling for it and "daring" Wlad to fight Shannon...
AKA daring him to pay Shannon a couple million dollars to come get his ass kicked when there are far more worthy opponents, just because he got the idea of filming himself screaming without a shirt on.Comment

Honestly I wouldn't mind seeing this fight at all. It would draw good ratings if it were put on HBO. People would be interested in this fight judging by the huge view numbers the videos are getting on YouTube. Also, the buildup to the fight would be crazy as well as the HBO Face Off. Would be really entertaining.Comment
