Let's be honest!

Wladimir considers Briggs, rightfully so, as nothing but a punching bag with eyeballs.

The majority fans would SLAM Wladimir for wasting another precious title defence on a washed up guy like Briggs instead of facing a top contender like he is supposed to and should be doing with limited slots left in his career.

Briggs doesn't stand any chance whatsoever, perhaps about as big a punchers chance as Leapai at best!

The top opponents of the planet for years have either ducked Wladimir for knowledge they would get their head punched in, or made the fight simply to cash out. Hardly any (if any) ever expected they could actually BEAT Wladimir, and any who did found they had grossly misjudged.

Anybody who REALLY thinks that Briggs actually seriously believes himself he could win is nuts. He JUST wasn't money that he doesn't actually deserve and doesn't want to do any work for it.

And obviously if he went the proper route, and tried to fight his way to a title shot, he would obviously be stopped by another contender before he ever got to Wladimir, hence the theatrics instead!

Such an obvious set up. They clearly had someone driving the boat that knew what he was doing. They're all in on it. Wladimir probably realized, even though he's been a good champion, his career has lacked excitement so he's now trying to recreate Rocky III with Briggs as his Clubber Lang....so fake but keep it up, I didn't say it's not entertaining...
