I mean someone just wrote down Hatton - whose whole persona was based around being humble and down to earth.

If you don't have a little bit of an ego, then you're in the wrong sport
Not when it came down to promoting the floyd fight, he was very vocal throughout the whole promotion, and 24/7..... i mean remember his post fight interview after the castillo fight?? He did what he had to do to get the fight, even if it meant being out of character.

He said Mayweather is in boring fights. It was hardly a personal attack. The thing that sold that fight was the completely different personalities and backgrounds of the two men.

I dont really agree with tito/vargas for one, both fighters had tremendous confidence going into that unification fight, but in the pre fight interviews and weeks leading upto the fight vargas gave tito full credit and respect as a fighter and champion.....when asked if he felt he would beat trinidad he always responded with "GOD WILLING"! So idk about that one.

Broner doing the booty dew followed closely by Hamed getting the piss beat out of him.

What does very vocal even mean? Yes he talked and was confident of winning - was he not supposed to be? I don't see how he was overly egotistical but like I said, people perceive different things as being egotistical and all boxers are to an extent.

I dont really remember word for word what hatton said as the fight was 7 years ago but i do know his over confidence made me more excited about the fight, but i also recall how much smack hatton was talking during interviews and the 24/7 series....agree to disagree.
