I remember Stewart saying in corner to really follow through with his jab and punches to push VK of balance because he was never use to being pushed back/off balance. When he started to do that opportunities started to open, i think Lewis would of got the job done.

Honestly i thinkv Vitali was winning even with the cut and i think he would have won a decision. On the other hand i just see lewis winning a decision. But i favor Klitshcko more he was really handling his business against lennox

        What do you guys think?
hard to say. they were both just so dead exhausted at the end of that last round. I'd give a slight edge to vitali becuz he was slightly ahead but its tough to call

Lewis was done by the time of the stoppage but who knows. Many different scenarios could happen with a question like this.

Bottom line is, if you are better you will win
              .

That cut was created due to a Lewis punch yet you make it sound like a bad excuse for a win ...... then in another thread that I just finished reading from you, you say that you hate guys who come up with excuses on why they lost.
              Just too funny!

If he hadn't got cut it would have ironically have been KO in the 6th.. But a real KO and for Vitali!

Love this fight, seen it again the other day.

Vitali beat the **** out of Lewis so thoroughly like never before and without the damage, he would have lost no momentum and put it on Lewis even harder.

In fact I would even argue that Vitali looked better than LEnnox right through to the end anyway, except for the eye.

This ^^ is obviously a shared view from Lewis himself as he promptly sailed away into the sunset afterward.

Vitali Klitschko is the first 200+ HW in history to have a full career and never suffered a clear proper loss.

Vitali was still performing at a high level with the cut. It wasnt his choice to stop the fight and he was still beating lewis even with the cut is what i mean

If he had not been cut I think he would have won by KO. He was coming on very strong at the end and Lewis was fading fast. He was hurting Lewis and would have KOed him in my opinion. Lewis was offered some very good money for a rematch but retired instead.

actually it was lewis that was coming on in that last round and took the round but it appeared he totally spent himself in the process. I remember him slumping down in his corner with a look of resignation on his face but vitali didn't look much fresher so its hard to call
