This is an overstatement. That fight was CLOSE and as per usual, the champ gets the benefit of the doubt. Watching that fight, even a ROOKIE fan has to see that Danny was having an off night. There is simply NOTHING Herrera brought to Danny, that could explain such a pathetic performance on the part of Garcia. Keep in in perspective because Danny's best wins are coming over the next 2-3 years. Hater-food shall be served.

Herrera did plenty of things to make Garcia look bad. For starters his jab dictated the pace and constant double and triple jabs kept Garcia from establishing momentum/timing. Garcia never got into a rhythm simply because Herrera would constantly change his approach switching from using movement coupled with jabs to walking Garcia down and being the aggressor. This is an overstatement. Defensively he did a great job of neutralizing that left hook and minimized his attack to right hands and body shots. He never overcommitted to minimize Garcia's opportunities to counter always being in position to avoid his power punches. Herrera did plenty right that night.Comment

As I said, keep it in perspective. Herrera looked good against a Danny Garcia that had nothing on fight night. I think Danny learned NOT to take anyone lightly ever again. Danny was looking at this fight as a charity event to be held in Puerto Rico and it showed on fight night. Deep down Herrera knows this and you should too. I don't blame Herrera for milking it and trying to raise his stock in the game though but, that was not the Danny Garcia who showed up for Lucas, Khan or Morales.Herrera did plenty of things to make Garcia look bad. For a guy whose persona is built upon mocking a fan base for using a bs excuse to justify a loss, you sure as hell are doing a great job of negating anything Herrera did to justify Garcia's performance with bs excuses. Location, motivation, off-night are equally as bad as blaming an eye.As I said, keep it in perspective. Herrera looked good against a Danny Garcia that had nothing on fight night. Keep in mind Herrera is a top fighter at 140 and his style is in no way similar to Lucas, Khan , or a career featherweight in Morales. Any objective fan knows Herrera's style is what troubled Garcia.Comment

He knows who Postol is, that's why he's happy to skip the fight.
He knew Salka was rubbish, and thought he knew who Herrera was..that's why he took those fights.
Garcia is holding those belts hostage until Haymon makes him face Peterson, or until he vacates and moves up to 147.Comment
