Comments Thread For: Kevin Johnson Eager To Test Worth of Anthony Joshua

London’s Anthony Joshua moved to 9-0 (9) on Saturday night after brushing aside Denis Bakhtov in two one-sided rounds at London's O2 Arena. The 24-year-old is now facing the age-old heavyweight dilemma—he keeps knocking people over but needs rounds in the bank. What can promoter Eddie Hearn do to solve this problem?

A few people have bandied about the idea of a fight against Kevin "The Kingpin" Johnson. “The Kingpin” went the distance with then-WBC titlist Vitali Klitschko in 2009 and also took Tyson Fury, Christian Hammer, Dereck Chisora and Manuel Charr the distance in losing efforts; he could give Joshusa some much-needed rounds. He's serious.... I've heard he's training to throw at least 3 punches a round... he's not playing

Why isn't there a way in boxing to get rid of guys like Johnson?

I'd rather pretend he never existed than ever hear his name again.

Going 10 rounds with Kevin Johnson is meaningless, when your trainer gives a better effort in the ring than he does. What he gives is what sparring sessions are for, not professional fights.

There is, but he retired over a decade ago - Mike Tyson used to beat these sparring partners up and make them question if they wanted to continue. Queen Pen lost me years ago when he was actually a decent fighter with a very good Jab. Talks waay too much and almost never delivers on anything he says..

lmfao for reals, he should be banned from the sport for life, I literally never seen anyone more boring then this guy right here.

Big step up but a fight I think makes sense.

See if he can stop him.

If AJ manages to KO Kevin 'Safety Pin' Johnson in 2 rounds then I'd be very impressed.
