I hate that video so much.
Talk about anything boxing related here. Where the boxing discussion is always Non Stop!

While Rigo is extremely good defensively for so many reasons, this video does not show it.

Rigondox is like a lot like an art house film.

Art house film are technically sound, but nobody wants to watch them because nobody cares about art.

Here's the thoughts of a Cuban referee with two decades of experience both in the ring as a ref for dozens of world championship fights, and outside as a referee seminar instructor for the WBA, WBO, and Association of Boxing Commissions.

Some Commissions' rules don't clearly prohibit a boxer from turning their back to an opponent or ducking their head in an unsafe manner. Should these practices be allowed? No. Why not? It could lead to a foul or injury and simply put, that is not boxing.

Good comparison... He's about minimalist aesthetics...
... Andre Ward is the only P4P fighter who would annihilate Rigo's style... Ward annihilates everything...

If he'd use his skills to attack more he'd do way better numbers.
He still thinks outboxing is enough like in the amateurs, while in prizefighting other assets are important.
But hey, smaller fighters are always on the lower end of things, nobody watches Hekkie Budler or Inoue and HBO and SHO are not getting into them anytime soon.

They revealed too much in that training video. Shows Rigo's whole strategy and now he can be worked out by good trainers. Having said that he's a genius. Anyone who hates on Rigo knows nothing about boxing.

As talented as Rigo is, he's an aquired taste. If you compare him to music, watching him fight is like attending a jazz concert. Not very exciting but its appreciated by those who have an ear for it. I can see how he could appeal to fans of golf.
