Hopkins "entertained the idea of going to cruiserweight to fight James Toney and to heavyweight for a battle with David Haye". But did he go there?...

Instead he also "entertained the idea" to fight undefeated Bute at 168 and, lately, Mayweather at 160...

Though, B-Hop dispatched an undefeated Pavlik (it's true, at a catchweight near LHW...)

      Kovolev is a different animal.
He's savvy, patient and will hurt Bernard with each power shot landed.

If Hopkins escapes taking a nap in November, that would be a victory unto itself.
Bhop was not taken to task by Dawson - Dawson is a good athlete and a good boxer, he beat Bhop but did not school him. Dawson has not been the same since, I like the adjectives and verbs being used to describe Kovalev, but who has he fought? How many rds has he gone? Have you ever seen him dig deep? Have you ever witnessed an adjustment? how good is his chin - really? Even at 50 I know Bhop can do all of the above and yes we know he has a good set of whiskers. In life we deal in facts never speculation - Those fancy words should have been used to describe the old professor not someone we do not know the answers too...

You seem to be taking this a bit personal.

B Hop is going to beat Kovolev, mark my words. And it won't be with his hands, it will be with his feet. And I don't mean run like Lara.

Kelly Pavlik was a better fighter and had fought better competition than Kovalev when he faced Hopkins. Hopkins made him look like an amateur. Antonio Tarver was a better fighter and had fought better competition than Kovalev when he faced Hopkins. Hopkins took him to school.

Hopkins is going to beat Kovalev the way Seattle beat Denver in the last Superbowl. By the time this fight is over, this message board will be lit up with comments about how overhyped Kovalev was.

Kelly Pavlik was average at best, and he, along with practically all of BHop's opponent moved up TWO WEIGHT classes north to fight him. BHop got beat every time he faced someone with some talent. It doesn't have to be someone special, too, like Chad. He's been able to dominate fighters that are slow and coming straight at him. Pavlik, Tito, Cloud, etc.

Starting to think Kovalev is going to send Hopkins to the moon, then he will really be an alien.

LOL, you must have forgotten that most boxing fans are a**holes that will literally criticize anything without remorse!!!!

Props to B-Hop, win, lose or draw.
