The only thing people are wondering about that fight is if Canelo going to get 1 judge to give him rounds for having great form absorbing punches again.

I dont think this is true but I'm sure theres alot of fans that have lost hope in May/Pac and have instead started looking forward to Canelo/Cotto. Basically theres a better chance of making Cotto/Canelo than May/Pac.

I don't know why but I just can't get excited about a Cotto/Canelo fight. I'm not sold on Cotto being a better fighter under Roach just because he beat Delvin Rodriguez (C+ fighter at best) and a hobbled Martinez. I doubt Cotto will fight Canelo's fight when they face each other, so if Cotto boxes vs attempting to trade power shots, I think Canelo will be easy work for him.

Maybe my lack of interest is really because we all know how each fighter can be beat.

Until Floyd and or Manny retires, there is no fight in boxing regardless of weight class that has the potential to be a bigger match up than these 2 squaring off.

To me Cotto vs Canelo is not even worth PPV but rather a great ratings night on HBO.

Only die hards really know who these guys are. Some know Cotto, but after the Floyd Alvarez's star diminished. Khan/Floyd does wayy better on the same night.

Hell Oscar thinks the fight does 2 million, and Cotto hasn't given him any excuse to think the fight will occur when Osacr wants it.
