I actually think that would be good to benefit it. But its usually a temporary thing tho. Kinda like they did with hogan vs andre the giant at the silverdome. 90,000+. ****, even JCC sr did over 100k people in mexico.

Yet, frampton got an outdoor stadium with his promoter and it actually did good numbers. Remember when arum did an outdoor theme at the cesars palace in LV?
Who the hell said "stadiums don't work" seriously who said that?

Bob Arum said he was going to BUILD a stadium. Not that it would be in a stadium.

"Stadiums don't work" you pulled that one out of thin air.

Just about every flowmos saying that arum was only saying that as an excuse for the pac-floyd fight not to happen at a certain time.

Located on the site of the former Empire Stadium, the 27,528 spectator venue was constructed to allow a new retractable roof to be installed at BC Place in 2010 and 2011. Empire Field was home to the Canadian Football League's (CFL) BC Lions for the 2010 and part of the 2011 seasons, and for Major League Soccer's (MLS) Vancouver Whitecaps FC for part of their debut 2011 season.

The venue was constructed by Nussli Group in three months, cost $14.4 million and opened on June 15, 2010. The venue featured 20,500 roofed bucket seats***8212;with the remaining 7,000 being benches***8212;twelve luxury suites, a press room, flood lighting and a FieldTurf artificial turf. The venue's record attendance are two sell-out matches: for the Lions it occurred in inaugural 2010 regular-season match against the Saskatchewan Roughriders; for the Whitecaps, it was a regular-season match against the Los Angeles Galaxy. Dismantling took place in November and December 2011 and the site is now fenced off and unused. It has been reported that it will eventually be used as a community playing field.

Why is the idea so far-fetched to you?

No people said the idea of building a new stadium for the fight was bull****. Which evidently it was.

            Not that "stadiums don't work"

A stadium is just a larger venue That boxers still fight in to this day.

Show me someone saying "stadiums don't work" you clearly and obviously just made that statement up.

Somehow you think Carl Frampton filling a stadium in Belfast is somehow comparable to Arum saying he was going to build a stadium.

Floyd Mayweather Is A Real Phukkin' Deadbeat; He Believes He's The Authority

Showtime put up such **** fights this year. Maybe Floyd ought to pick up the phone he claims he called Manny on, and call Canelo to learn it was Canelo's choice, to pursue HBO. Like Floyd likes to say he makes all his career decisions, then Canelo can share with Floyd the illiterate, he (Canelo) is the final say on his career. Why should Floyd think that applies to him? And if Oscar is such a snake, then why did Floyd co-promote the last 8, 9 fights with Oscar? Phukk Floyd. Why would fighters sign contracts with Mayweather, who can't read or write? Someone tell Floyd to go back to school. Speaking of snakes, while Oscar was in rehab, it was Floyd, Schaeffer, Ellerbe trying to squeeze Oscar out of Golden Boy, for their own agenda, telling Oscar to "sign here; it would be best for the company"...... Floyd is a real weasel, a real scumbag, loves to spin things to manage is own image control.

How much are 30k nose bleed seats worth at a temporary stadium in the desert. Because that is the difference in revenue it would bring over having it at the MGM grand, and that is even if they can get a temporary stadium to like 45k capacity and meet code in the available space it would be very pricey.

There is not that much room for a big stadium in Vegas where the casinos want the people at. There is a lot of room in odd parts of town or on the outskirts but the only way a stadium works is if a casino pays and they will only pay if those people go their their buildings a bunch.

Really think about it from an economic point of view, what is the utility of doing this.
