As a W.K fan, I gotta be honest. I really believe that , at the moment, if there has to be a threat, it would definitely be Povetkin.

Yes, Roach has been quite arrogant for the last months after Cotto beat Martinez, but I believe I know why he is saying that Povetkin could have won if he had trained him.

- Povetkin has an excellent foot work and is quite fast. He moves his head very well whe he wants to.

- Povetkin would be Klitschko's only opponent that can dodge his jab and going forward at the same time. Usually, 95% of Klitschko's opponents choose to block shots and/or fight going backwards at a certain point.

Povetkin is, indeed, potentially a very dangerous opponent. I believe he smashes the likes of Wilder and Stiverne to bits.

Povetkin got the crap knocked out of him by Marco Huck, pal.

I like Huck a lot, but still, a cruiserweight smacked Povetkin all over the ring and got robbed by two of the judges, probably because Sauerland didn't want Huck to move to HW. Well, now he's left Sauerland and is moving up anyway.

He'll beat Povetkin in a rematch.

Povetkin's about as threatening to Klitschko as Shannon Briggs is.

Povetkin wouldn't beat Stiverne. He also would lose easily to Pulev, Haye, Fury, and many others. Hell, Joshua would probably tattoo his ass even at this early stage of his career.

Roach's ego is out of control and he hates Klitschko with a passion because Wlad fired him as a trainer way back when.

Freddie was also SURE Haye would KO Wlad -- you see how that worked out.

Povetkin got beaten by MARCO HUCK, a cruiserweight, fer crissakes. Got smacked around by him real good.

Roach hates Wlad because he at one time trained Wlad and Wlad fired him.

Roach is also the guy who said Haye was gonna easily KO Wladimir.

This guy is arrogant as hell and holds grudges forever. Povetkin wouldn't beat Haye or Pulev, never mind Wlad. He didn't beat Huck either and would lose in a rematch.

The Povetkin that fought Huck has nothing to do with today's Povetkin.

I'd like to see Povetkin-Klitschko II with a different referee. Forget the trainers.

BUT, I'd much rather see Povetkin vs Haye, Stiverne, Pulev, Helenius, Fury etc...
He has had good fights when he stepped it up against non-Wladimirs like Chambers and Charr.

Whatever referee they got would let Klitschko cheat the same as any other referee has.

Unless you're guaranteeing me that doesn't happen, a rematch is pointless.

Huck is a real warrior, and that's something Povetkin never has been. That's why he emasculated Povetkin in the second half of their fight. I've never seen a guy come in with his head as the opponent's knees as often as Povetkin was doing. The only place to hit him was the back of the head. Povetkin should have been DQ'd.

Huck got robbed and knew Sauerland was behind it, which is why he's now left the Sauerland stable.

povetkin was clearly in terrible shape for that fight. he was flabby and ran out of gas after 4 rounds. I still had him eking out the fight altho I realize many did think huck deserved it. I just think povetkin would have a much easier time if he came in good condition

Actually Povetkin was doing his "coming in low" move with his the back of his head being the only target available versus Wlad as well, the same trick he pulled against Huck. So he's at least as much at fault for how that fight deteriorated as Wlad is.

As soon as he senses he's in over his head, Povetkin starts with the (illegal) tricks. How a guy continually comes in with his head at the opponent's knees and doesn't get warned and eventually DQ'd by the ref is amazing.

povetkin is just not in the same league as wlad (no shame in that). no amount of training with anyone would make povetkin good enough to beat an ATG heavyweight like wlad.
