Comments Thread For: James DeGale: I Think Carl Froch Fears Me, He's Scared!

JAMES DEGALE says he will make Carl Froch "look silly" and destroy his legacy if the world super-middleweight champion dares take him on in another Battle of Britain in January.

DeGale is the mandatory challenger for Froch's IBF belt but believes his potential opponent is running scared over what defeat would do to his ring reputation.

Froch, who beat domestic rival George Groves for the second time in May, has until December 31 to reveal if he will meet DeGale or face vacating the IBF title.

Note to self: stop reading DeGale interviews. Just skip 'em. I always come away feeling the opposite of enlightened and enthusiastic after such tripe. :yuck:

Hence why I hope Froch picks someone else. Anyone else. Fight Kessler, or even fookin' Robin Reid again... just not that twat DeGale. Deny him the payday and give him some of that Calzaghe treatment.

Froch can pick who he wants but he's going to have to give up his belt.

DeGale isn't worried about the payday - he's offered to take less than the 25% which is what the challenger is entitled to under the IBF rules.

I don't think Froch is afraid but Degale could give him problems with his slippery skills and is pretty heavy handed with what seems a decent chin, I would buy!

The problem for Degale is the ticket / PPV buying public seem to be scared of him too... **** this mother****er couldn't even sell out Glow in Bluewater shopping centre lol, no wonder he's willing to take less than the mandatory 25% - it'll still be his biggest payday

I dont think degale carries much power, his knockouts other than gonzales have been usualy second teir opponents, he sure owned virgil hunter though.

The DeGale-Froch fight would do better than any other fight on PPV in the UK.
