This logic is flawed. Stronger, better skilled fighters than Maidana haven't come close to giving him problems.

Not to say that Golovkin wouldn't mind you.

Remember the hype with Maidana in both fights and how sure everybody was that maidana will beat floyd and it never happened. The same hype with DelaHoya, same with Cotto, and hatton and the majority of opponents that where supposedly going to destroy floyd.

Floyd has fought the biggest names and beat them except for Manny. GGG has fought pretty much average to sub par unknown competition and is overhyped because he knocks not so good guys out. and has impressive highlight reels.

so how is he going to beat a guy who has been on top for almost 20 years? because he "is the hardest puncher" "cuts the ring off good" so what? he would most likely be another victim of Floyd defense and would just get outboxed by floyd, nobody can outbox floyd.

Like floyd has said : "They said this guy throws good body shots, they said this guy is quick, they said this guy is very strong, i still find a way to win."
And most likely he would win again against GGG the invincible .

I just dont see it happening , another guy pops up out of nowhere and gains an enourmous hype train, and because of this he is the guy that will KO floyd lol. This has happened numerous times over the years and floyd still beat guy. Some pretty much unknown guy like GGG isnt going to stop floyds streak.

The edge always goes to the dominating champ who has been on top for a long time in these fights. Its the same as when ALi faced foreman and Shavers and was supposed to get destroyed and did what he always does and that is win. Just like floyd always does.

I feel like Mayweather's name has siked out most fighters he's faced in his latter career. I honestly feel that the nerves of fighting "Mayweather" gets to some of these fighters. Then the other half of it is skill or lack there of relative to Mayweather.

If Floyd ever fights GGG it would be an absolute destruction, is TC just trying to troll er wha?

And I wasn't one of those that thought Alvarez had a chance and Floyd thought enough of him to make a catch weight. Is their any dispute that GGG sets up his shots better, has much better footwork and hits WAY harder than Canelo?

Call me ignorant, but I think Floyd would have 0 chance of winning this fight. If you thought Maidana didn't respect Floyd what do you think GGG would do.....walk him down, take some lovetaps and absolutely smash him.

I'm not trying to pick on Floyd, it's just that he CAN'T win that fight.

If he can shoulder roll, stay off ropes, withstand body shots, and clinch perfectly for 12 rounds while landing accurate counters....he may stand a chance. The 2 types of boxers we haven't seen Floyd deal with much are fast and defensive technical slick boxers like himself...he's handled the slow power guys.

He's not handled this type of power and pressure, not even close. The closest he's come is Canelo who was/is green and fought a moronic fight against him. Marcos showed in the first fight that Floyd can be touched by a crude pressure fighter with no respect for him....imagine someone with ELITE power and better skills can do if they don't fight Floyd's fight.

This would not be close, but I don't "blame" Floyd for not wanting this fight......a bridge too far...

Will floyd ever fight GGG? the answer is NO. Floyd just had a tough time with maidana in a very controlled environment which pretty much guarantee a win, if he lost it wouldve been laughable, no-inside-fighting-style-ref, bigger ring and pillow gloves, all against maidana like seriously???

GGG is tough match for anyone, let alone a small guy in floyd, coz he gives his all and has natural gifts. I would understand if u believe floyd can beat him, but saying it'd be all easy is just a big joke. You are also the one who based it on a sparring session which i also commented and u havent replied yet.

floyds defense isnt what it once was for sure, but very easy to hit? really? lets not get carried away here. floyd is still one of the two or three best defensive fighters in the game if not the best.

ggg would beat him, floyd is too small and too far past his prime. no shame in that though, you couldnt name too many former 130lbs champions way past their prime who could beat a future atg MW at his peak.
