Augustus was beaten by Micky Ward pretty convincingly. I wish he could get that big payday, but losing to guys like Courtney Burton won't get you there. The way Cotto's camp's protecting him right now, Augustus could cash in on that sweepstakes.

Keep in mind hitman that Augustus wasnt just robbed but ****ed right in his arse against Burton-he clearly won that fight and was clearly ****ed in the arse by the judges in Burton's hometwon.

Augustus probably didnt win the fight with Mickey Ward but when the final scores were read it was almost tragic to listen to the hometown judges and how far they were off with the scoring-it was a close give and take fight that was every bit the scrap that the first Ward/Gatti fight was yet the scores gave the fight the appearance that Ward had dominated.

Gatti vs. Augustus is the only fight that I could see him being competitve in and at the same time collecting a nice size paycheck.

That's true about the ass-raping against Burton. Unfortunately, it still goes down as a loss. I thought the Ward fight was slightly closer than the cards, but I think Irish Micky clearly won. I really think he's much better than his record indicates, and I'd love to see him make some retirement money. I really think his best chance to get a large payday is Cotto. His handlers are avoiding serious threats, and would probably take Augustus lightly. I don't think he could beat Cotto, but you never can tell.
