This fight was as painful to watch as 2 porcupines having sex.

It's a shame Soliman's knee is made out of biscuits...as if it wasn't, he would of beat Taylor and maybe Taylor would not of stepped inside the ring again.
He's a danger to himself health-wise. An accident waiting to happen.

Taylor wins...now what? The IBF title will just be held hostage by an aging boxer who wants no piece of the big boys. Maybe a Quillin fight but both guys are clowns.

I doubt Taylor goes in against Cotto and/or GGG.

Taylor looked really sharp and had his legendary jab pumping.

I lost my mind when he got handed that belt. Much props to Jermain "Bad Intentions" Taylor for bringing the title back to Little Rock. Love that guy.

Happy to see JT win a title again after his very sad fall from grace. I was confident he would win this one, but I don't see him standing a chance against any of the top guys at 160. His chin hasn't been the same since Pavlik. I wish him the best, but I don't see the future looking too good for his health.

I didnt see the fight, but i was thinking that taylor should have called it quits long time ago. Just like juanma. They received too much punishment.

Unfortunately Soliman is a ped user which might be way he is prone to ligament injuries. No sympathy for him.

It's not that. That was a bit of a problem earlier in his career. That's not the problem now albeit it does make things worse.

The problem is he just does not have it any more. He just won a title... but he barely laid a hand on a 1 legged 40 year old nearly-journeyman. Taylor's output was awful. He threw very few punches, his work rate abysmal, and when he did throw punches they were really predictable. He didn't work behind his jab. His overhand right was dreadful. His movement was terrible - even a 1 legged Soliman was landing plenty.

If Soliman hadn't hurt his knee (and it seemed to be bothering him from as early as the 2nd round before it buckled completely in the 7th) then Taylor basically would not have landed a clean shot all night and no way would he have been given the decision. As it was, he was credited with 3 knockdowns which just weren't real knockdowns - weak punches for the first 2 as the leg buckled under Soliman, the 3rd knockdown Taylor hit pure air - and they accounted for the entire margin of victory.

Taylor couldn't even start looking good against a crippled opponent. He really needs to call it a day. He won by virtue of turning up in good condition and not getting too frustrated early doors.

On another note, how classy was Soliman's post fight interview? I take my hat off to the guy for losing so well.
