I do think that canelo has a bigger fanbase, but yes, i think cotto's options give him a bit more leverage, not much more though. this should fight should be somewhat down the middle in terms of whos in control

and honestly, i can see canelo just saying f it, and then accepting all the ridiculous demands. when it comes down to it, canelo puts up with it time and time again. I really do believe he is trying to fight for a legacy

Canelo is trying to prove he is the star people think he is. But Cotto is just as big a star and also knows his value relative to this fight. Cotto doesn't need this fight as much as Canelo needs it and needs to win big.

He is but he's using Top Rank to promote his fights. Don't overlook glove gate though, that alone will prevent the fight from happening.
