Comments Thread For: De La Hoya Likes Khan-Peterson, Garcia-Peterson Bouts

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya is interested in staging a major event in Washington, D.C. and has two potential fights in mind.

"I'm excited about returning to D.C, why not make Peterson-Khan or Peterson-Garcia," De La Hoya stated to the Washington Post.

Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) lost a controversial twelve round split decision to Lamont Peterson (33-2-1, 17KOs) at the Convention Center in D.C. in December 2011. After the loss, Khan vowed never to fight in the city again.

I don't like Khan, but I think he beat Peterson that night.

Peterson versus Khan was a great, highly-entertaining fight. I'd pay to see those two slug it out again-anytime any place, especially because Khan definitely deserved the nod in the first fight.

Let's not get to excited here. Notice he said this to the Washington post, what else is he suppose to say? Fck Washington, we're never coming back? Or peterson doesn't deserve any of the top fighters? He's being political and saying the right things. Doubt either fight happens, ESPECIALLY in DC

Why doesn't Oscar waste his time talking about fighters he actually owns........His quotes is nothing more than a smear campaign, I'm not fooled.........
