Because cutting off the ring works so well, when the opponent immediately clinches you. Not a good argument to make considering fighters who move a lot don't know how to cut the ring off as well.

I'd rather watch a fighter who's willing to take one in order to dish out one rather than a fighter who runs around the ring to avoid engaging at all.

Its funny how when a fighter is in the ring with a runner, certain fanboys want to blame the fighter who isnt able to cut off the ring over the fighter who is actually spoiling the fight by running to avoid fighting.

And judges should not score rounds for runners who pitty-pat without ever throwing a really effective punch.
Completely agree I can't stand the way some fighters constantly hold ala Maidana vs Floyd and are never warned or points deducted. This seems to be conditional . Also can't stand the way some referees don't allow inside fighting and break immediately.

Hate the runners ala Lara. I understand boxing but there is a difference between boxing and running never landing and effective punch.

I prefer the boxer/puncher like the way Oscar fought in his prime.

That's because cutting off the ring is what you call an "art" or a "skill". And what you call "spoiling the fight" is called "boxing" and "exposing" a one dimensional/plodding fighter who's only prayer is for the boxer to stand still. This ain't affirmative action. If you can't deal with a mover either figure it out or take an L.

EXCELLENT POST !!!!!!!Fighters should just stand in the middle of the ring and refuse to follow the runner.

Blame the guy who is rying to make the fight opposed to the guy that is ruining it!!! Makes no damn sense, why should i have to chase and catch you!

just the hugging! Sick of fighters getting away with all the clinching.

So the runner isnt one dimensional being that is the only chance he has trying to avoid the fight.

How bout refusing to chase you. There is a difference between boxing and running. Movement isn't the only skill in boxing. How bout boxing and effective movement while fightin as opposed to avoiding a fight throwing one punch at a time. If you can't adjust you take the L.
