Lol according to Arum. You sound like you work for Top Rank. Honestly how the heck would you know what they tried to do?

Wow so Top Rank is basically filing a case to force him to be under contract for two more years? What's their rationale?

Most likely the time in which he was injured as well as the time in which he refused fight offers and chose not to fight.

So in other words, Carl Froch and others need to move on to other fights because Chavez Jr. will be on ice for a while.

Its the same situation as Wards.

Under the terms of a contract, the boxer has to fulfill x number of fights during the duration of the contract. If Chavez turned down fights that were presented to him then Arum has the right to extend the contract until Chavez fulfills his end of the deal.

Now Chavez was offered a fight with GGG. Arum offered him $7mil for the fight along with a 1yr extension or $3mil with no extension. Jr turned down both offers. Therefore Jr owes Arum a fight before he can be let out of his contract.

I meant injuries and also the suspension(s) he had. Same thing happened to Andre ward. Usually being injured is on the fighter and extends contracts. As is not accepting fight offers
