There's a lot of thinly veiled racism in this thread and it's mostly coming from bitter American boxing fans who are so worried because Mexico is a great boxing just like the US. Inferiority complex has you feeling a certain type of way, and it's not a good look. I'm American and I don't see the need for these pity rivalries unless there's years of tradition behind it. For instance, Mex vs PR, US vs UK and those with more tradition. The tide is shifting, so keep a close eye out for those pesky Mexicans you seem to dislike so much.

Most of my friends are Mex-Am and they appreciate and watch all styles of boxing. They have favorites from every nationality, not just Floyd, Ward, and BHOP like certain fans.

Want to talk about rowdy fans that get worked up over everything? How about that Broner-Taylor fight. Man, people getting their chains snatched and fighting in the stands.

More people were paying attention to the hip hop style beatdowns going on in the crowd than in the ring. But at least Rich Homie Quann got his chain back, lord knows what would have happened in that nasty crowd.

Funny how if Mikey was a gang member, every would tell him to go back to mexico and levy a bunch of racist insults his way, but since he has accomplishments, he gets to be an american hero (and with the way people talk about him on this site, you would think he wasn't one). Being born in a different place doesn't make you better.
        Lmao at the guy....

        Where is the racist insults?

It's absolutely funny that people will go to extremes to leave a place, or be born of people who left a place for whatever reasons, go to a new place that is better for their family and future, yet still wanna claim old place that they couldn't wait to flee from...
If America ****** so bad that I was fleeing to canada, I sure as hell wouldnt be representing the US like it's some great place

When stuff in America wasn't right, Americans didn't flee their own homes, they stayed and fought til things got better ie revolutionary war, slavery, etc.. Maybe Mexicans should stop fleeing their own land and instead fight for it and try and clean it up instead of running from the problems..

But please tell what racists insults I spewed.

I could careless about Floyd,, your a fanboy and bringing up Floyd.. Lmao

When did I play the race card... Please highlight it... It's a thread about Mexican vs Americans.. It's hard to talk about it if you do not use the word Mexican.. Doesn't mean I'm playing the race card... I didn't even mention my race or any other races..in fact I didn't even talk about race, I'm talking about nationalities

        Being Mexican isn't a race, it's a nationality,,,

Drug Cartels exist because the US has a high demand for its services in terms of drugs, the same drugs South American countries produce in a massive scale. No foreign involvement doe.
This is a solid post but needs to be in the lounge.. America is no angel, but hardly the root of all the troubles in Mexico... But honestly you should start a thread in the lounge on this

There was no hate in the post... I got no beef with Mexicans, nor do I really care that much about them fleeing to America, except for the burden on the tax system, but other than that, I don't care if a million Mexicans a day came to America, as long as the are law abiding..
It's a common fact that Mexicans flee to America, only to still try and represent a country they abandoned instead of trying to improve it.. Look at how many illegals are in America or first born in America.. It's tens of millions of people, and if they unified to improve Mexico they would be a huge political force and could actually make change, but instead they flee.

You accuse me of having no heritage or culture to flaunt, but I'm the one being hateful..

Thanks for giving unintentional credit.
Is this how low you're reaching here? Ooohhh, Julio Diaz, that monster that Julio Diaz. The same one that got stopped by wait for it...Kendall Holt, am I right?

        On the subject of Danny.
        Perez, Garcia, Provodnikov>Morales, Khan, Matthyse.
Best 2 Mexican fighters are canelo and Marquez

        Floyd owned both
        Bradley beat Marquez..

        What Mexicans are better than
        Floyd
        Ward
        Hopkins

Ok then you and PBP should be able to refute this point without all of the thinly veiled racist remarks. Especially when you're gonna claim guys like Mikey Garcia as one of them, only to call him a dumb Mexican when he does something you don't like. Makes no sense. Then again, they say those who are racist tend to possess a lower IQ.

My point wasn't that there's anyone better than those guys, but boy are those guys boring and nearly unwatchable. People in the US don't even care about them other than Floyd.

I'm saying in general if someone has bigoted views on Mexicans, they're going to hold them for Mexican-Americans too. It doesn't magically change because of the American tag.

People who have crossed the border and still claim Mexico is more a sense of honoring your culture and not forgetting your past. I don't understand how someone can speak on the subject when they have no experience on it. You still have emotional ties to your homeland even though you know there is no future there.

It's almost the equivalent of leaving a small town in order to pursue your dreams in the big city. You still love your hometown but you know there's no future there to accomplish your goals. You obviously still have emotional ties to your hometown and will speak proudly of it wherever you go.

Floyd and Ward are finished. They'll never fight the best again. Arreola has been beaten, Hopkins has signed his death warrant.

The future of US boxing now rests on the shoulders of Adrien Broner and Deontay Wilder.

That's a scary prospect. I think really, this is the death throes of America's grip on boxing to be honest.

                      Rap music has destroyed it!
