Last week an article ran on BoxingScene.com in which newly crowned WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri said that his June 14th victory over Ruslan Provodnikov would have been a blowout win if he had not hit the deck twice in the first round. One of Algieri's eyes was swollen shut from the damage that he took from the first knockdown. He was able to adjust after the round and walked away with a split decision victory.

Ruslan is still salty that Chris "danced" all over him and further exposed the short lived Provodnikov hype. I still think the fight could have gone either way, Ruslan just can't make adjustments and he relied on his power too much.
