Hamed should definitely be in the HoF, both for his record and for his unique style and approach.
He had a relatively puny upper body but generated enormous power by channeling the strength of his thick, sturdy legs up through his torso and into his punches.
All power punchers use leg strength to some extent, but nobody else used it like Hamed. He looked like a crazy jumping-jack in the ring, but man, was he effective.
I've never seen another fighter throw punches the way Hamed did, and I don't think I ever will. For that, if nothing else, his career should be commemorated.

I agree. While he wasn't ATG worthy he's definitely HOF worthy, could see him on many top 15-20 Featherweights of all time lists.

Named not beint in the HOF shows that its just another BS kickback handout demanding joke leech squad. First fighter to fight and BEAT all four champions in a division. A real one at that 126. EFF the HOF

One thing I can say is this guy provided entertainment, his credentials are solid, he should be in. Guys with lesser accomplishments have made it.

Prince Naseem Hamed destroyed Tom "Boom Boom" Johnson in 1997 ( 8th rd TKO ) and took his IBF featherweight title in the process. So someone needs to do their homework on the competition the pPince did not face !

                That was a great read.

And yeah, I feel like Hamed should be in the HOF. I didn't always feel that way but when you look at his accomplishments over time, they are quite impressive.

Hamed should a already be in the hall of fame, like previous posters have said,he paved the way for little guys to be noticed enough for them to get a good payday, even PPV.His awkwardness and power for nightmares for fighters.

It's a shame his hands just didn't hold up,but i suppose that's what happens when you punch as hard as he did in that tiny frame of his.

I stand corrected, Tom Johnson is on the list of competition faced by Prince Naseem Hamed but, he is also on the list of competition not faced, smh !

Read closer. That was a total list with a note that he faced several right after. The Johnson win is referenced heavily.
