  • Which country other than the U.S. & Mexico is the most relevant in boxing right now?

Vote (Poll incoming) and discuss. And rank the countries from 1-10.

Use whatever criteria you want to decide which country other than the U.S. and Mexico is the most "relevant" in boxing right now. You can decide by the amount of World Champions a country has, the level of fighters a country produces, the amount of fighters a country produces, the type of fights a country's fighters give to the fans, superstars a country has, and so on. I say combine all of those criteria to come to a conclusion.

*I left out the U.S. and Mexico because I feel like the U.S. would run away with first place and Mexico would run away with second place. I might do another poll including them later.

Here's the list of countries in the order of my personal rankings:

    1. Japan

    2. Philippines

    3. Argentina

    4. United Kingdom

    5. Ukraine

Ukraine - Wladimir, Lomachenko, Glazkov, Khytrov, Postol

The UK. Did you see Froch vs Groves? I don't think the US or Mexico can have an event like that.

Boxing is a pimple on an elephants ass in comparison to other sports in the US. You have Floyd May weather and who the **** cares.

Indeed and I believe. That country has some heavy hitters. There is something in that water.

To me Japan is the most relevant country in boxing right now other than the U.S. and Mexico.

World Champions: Takashi Uchiyama, Shinsuke Yamanaka, Takashi Miura, Kohei Kono, Tomoki Kameda, and Naoya Inoue

Young fighters on the rise: Kosei Tanaka, Takuma Inoue, Naoya Inoue, Tomoki Kameda

2014 Fight Of The Year Candidates: Katsunari Takayama vs. Francisco Rodriguez Jr., Yoshihiro Kamegai vs. Robert Guerrero, Koki Eto vs. Ardin Diale

Japan gives us a little bit of everything, . I think the one think Japan is lacking is a crossover star though. Maybe that could be Takashi Uchiyama if he lands a Mikey Garcia fight.
