I guess the plan now is too have Paul Smith do all the dirty work for Groves so if he does become champion then Groves can take from him

I wouldn't say no chance, but Dirrell would rightly be clear favorite.

Personally I'd rather Froch fought Anthony and rematched Andre. Those bros need to be humbled.

Well, Smith's name is somewhat out-there at the minute, so i don't blame him and Hearns for trying this on.

this is ridiculous, smith didnt even deserve a shot at abraham.

when i found out he was getting a title shot i looked at his record to see if i missed something, but it really was just handed to him.

3 wins against guys with losing records, one against a domestic level fighter who is nowhere near the top 30 in the world and then a KO loss in 2 rounds to a novice george groves.

those were his five last fights going into the abraham fight. how does that warrant back to back title shots?

This would be a good UK debut for Dirrell. A way for him to get comfortable in that environment against a fighter he's capable of beating. The UK fans will be familiar with him once he fights Groves.

Abraham cherry picked him. Not Smith's fault. What was he supposed to do? Turn it down?
