Disecting Floyd's "health comes first" statements.

Sure there are line items boxers can negotiate the terms of a fight too. They don't just walk away if a point in the contract is not agreeable. Just because Floyd is the A side doesnt mean he can get everything he demands from the venue, gloves used, promo companies, etc. Pacman did agree to 14 Olympic style testing up to 2 weeks before the fight. Anyway, his stance has now changed to no time window.
Its best we stick to the thread topic.Comment

If you read my post carefully I mentioned he was against drug tested up until the fight as he had a bad experience from doing so on the day of his bout with Morales.Comment

From this video and his retirement a few years ago, this guy boxes just for the money, not for any passion of the sport or his fans. He wants to make the most money he can while not jeopardize his long term health...not wanting to take risky fights...it's understandable considering how much he as already made.Last edited by HeGotPacProblem; 10-02-2014, 10:08 AM.Comment

ok. so his answer reflects that your interpretation is incorrect. But since that doesn't fit into your personal opinion-you minimize it and suggest the answer has no merit. SO its back to what you bolded-you are trying to force everything into your narrative.Comment

His statments were contradictorary. But it's Floyd...the king of contradictions. You cant say that you wont be forced by the masses to fight someone because you fear for your health, then when the interviewer asks..."are you implying that you have something to fear?", you reply with "No". If you're not afraid then you dont mention that you fear for your health in the first place!Comment

Yes that's the politically correct thing to say...but as Floyd has proven time and time again actions or inactions speak louder than words and outside of formal interviews have tarnished his image and brand.
