Again, you are not ******. The points were made relative to fighting someone who was believed to be using some form of performance enhancing drugs. He used ali fighting berbick and holmes to illustrate a larger point about what types of life altering injuries/conditions result from the sport.

what was his response to COstas? Since when do you use a question from another person to define a point made by someone else?

Now you can criticize him if you feel his comparison wasout of place-but that doesn't mean you don't know what he was referring to.

This is all about you forcing a square peg into the narrow, round hole that you and others on NSB call "Floyd ducking, coward" etc etc. You are trying to hard to make it fit.

Ok so which is it? Is it that Pac is on PEDs?, is it Bob Arum's affiliation?, Is it the money split?, Is it Pac's desperation?, Is it Pac being on HBO?, Is it that Pac has Bradley and Marquez problems?, etc..etc...

You cant possibly sit there and claim that a man who's interested in making a fight will purposely create so many roadblocks. Instead of hearing why he should fight Pac, all we've been hearing from Floyd is why he SHOULDNT fight Pac.

Who knows. Maybe the man's health insurance wasn't paid up and he wants to make sure it is before he steps in the ring with Pacquaio

You bringing up what Floyd said in interviews and calling them "roadblocks" rather than discussing manny's refusing the fight on 2 occasions illustrates exactly what you bolded.

Most rational people place blame using ones actions, not quotes from interviews where Floyd is talking ****. But again, you know this and prefer to play ******. Suit yourself.

The fight hasn't happened for 3 reasons:

          Manny refused over PED testing
Bob took Manny to his son in law for 35 stitches after saying he was going to fight in May
Manny refused the $40 mil, no ppv offer.

Manny not getting his way isn't a roadblock. All the things you cite as "roadblocks"-ped testing, purse split, signing to a rival promoter etc have never stopped any other fight from happening. Just this one.

But this thread was about Floyd's statements not to rehash whose primarily responsible for the fight not happening so I don't know why you pivoted and brought this up.

Could you tell me what Floyd's response to Costas was?

For the nth time, pac did not flat out refuse ped testing. Get your facts straight before making your arguments...He didn't agree with being tested within 2 weeks of fight. This was something he complained about a few years earlier in a loss because he felt it weakened him so it's not just an excuse for Floyd. Anyway, that point is moot now as Pacman already has agreed to the drug testing he previously disagreed to. But of course there are now more Mayweather conditions to meet after accepting the previous ones.

There is no line item veto in boxing. He didn't want to fight, refused, made up an excuse after his "needle fear" excuse got exposed, and his fans cosigned it. He didn't want 30, 24, 14 or 7 days either.

Yes, manny now tests for his fights in China. After agreeing to testing for RIos (china), he then refused for JMM (in Vegas), and now has VADA again for ALgieiri (china). Can you be certain he will accept testing for his next US fight given this change?

The conditions are no different than conditions Team Manny had for the JMM and shane fights so it shouldn't be a problem for Team Manny.

Again, the thread isn't about blame, its about dissecting floyd's statements.

Actually that's where negotiations hit a snag. Floyd proposed 14 days while Pac proposed 21 days. Both stood firm on thier stance and the fight never materialized. It had nothing to do with Pac turning down 50/50 as many uninformed posters here like to claim.

Sure there are line items boxers can negotiate the terms of a fight too. They don't just walk away if a point in the contract is not agreeable. Just because Floyd is the A side doesnt mean he can get everything he demands from the venue, gloves used, promo companies, etc. Pacman did agree to 14 Olympic style testing up to 2 weeks before the fight. Anyway, his stance has now changed to no time window. As for fighting in China, he prefers to fight there to save on taxes since it's well known he has Financial problems. If the Mayweather fight presents itself he wouldn't mind fighting at Floyd's home, the MGM.

Eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao has finally agreed to everything Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants in order to make what seems to be the biggest and most lucrative fight in boxing history...
