Well its a valid thread. Its a curious situation when a professional boxer is so vocal about how he fears for his health in a profession that comes with getting hurt.

Many posters here say that its crazy to imply that a professional boxer is afraid of another boxer. I disagree. Many boxers feel fear before a fight.

Regardless of that being ones profession, health is still a fighter's main priority. It takes a special kind of ****** not to comprehend that.

I thought so to. My thread was about had any other fighters said that in terms of "my health comes" when it pertains to fighting a certain fighter. I was just curious and Floyd fans said it was a ****** thread, blah blah, getting all defensive. I really wanted to know and wasn't trying bait people.

What are you talking about I go to my job everyday hoping to take extra damage to my head and body. I thought that was just how the world worked~

Understandable but Floyd seems overly concerned about it. More so than any other boxer I can think of.

Some fighters dont mind getting hit. Some do. The ones that do are usually more defensive minded fighters than the ones that dont. Floyd is a defensive fighter. If he feels his skills can not protect him in the ring then why continue fighting? If he's confident in his skills then he should not worry about which fighters might "hurt him"

that "i just wanna even the playing field" and taking away maidana's gloves really irk me

him taking away maidana's gloves is making the playing field even more uneven, ontop of all the other advantages he already has(ring/ref etc)

then he'll say dumb sht like "pfft lol, why do the gloves matter anyway?" like he's not threatening not to fight if maidana gets his gloves

anyway, back then he was more confident on taking pac as he was working out year round yet only tested for the 2 months before a fight, now the free to abuse with no worries period is alot smaller as he fights twice a year and im sure there's some rest after fights, evident in his massive loss of pop, went from hurting and looking like he could have stopped mosley and cotto to fk all

why wasnt his health an issue when facing Maidana, arguably a harder puncher than Pacquiao.
