Comments Thread For: Canelo Doesn't Consider Clottey Fight To Be 'Easy'

Easily be more exciting. Clottey is not going to be moving around the ring and if Canelo stops punching he's going to have fast combos coming back at him.Clottey is tough like an old saddle. You can pound on him and he never goes down or seems hurt. He is not a great puncher so I don't think he's going to hurt Canelo at all, but it will be interesting to see if Canelo can stop this guy. He is not soft.
I actually think this fight will be more exciting than either the Lara or the Mayweather fight; so, it will be a good boxing night, for free.
Don't understand why people dislike this fight so much.Comment

Neither do I. Canelo's not a champion and this fight isn't on PPV. What's all the fuss about? People are acting like this is a Rod Salka or whoever the hell Santa Cruz fought level opponent.Comment

I thinks that whoever hates this fight are either canelo haters/or canelo haters in disguise who want to see him lose again...Comment

SSome I think sadly are network fanboys the others, like UTEP said are over and under estimating the fighters.Comment

A lot of people don't wanna see another Pacquiao Clottey type of fight. If Joshua shows up, it's a gd fight. He's losing for sure but atleast it will be exciting.Comment

Theres something about that clottey fight that just didnt look right to me, for him to go and put up great performances against judah, corrales, marg, and cotto then go and flop against lil pacquaio idk??? Bob is a shady character so anything is possible....
Now for clottey he brings a very good record to the ring and looks to be rejuvenated, so i think hes gonna push canelo out there and make him fight... it wont be easy by no means but i think the ghosts of the pac fight are clearly gone and hes moved on and so should the fans.... i think canelo edges him in a rough and tough fight.... i wonder though if people were shiating on de la hoya/gatti???Comment

I guess I'm judging that by the KO percentage 22 out 43. 51%. Most of his KOs were early in his career and the eye test. I'm not saying he can't punch but I think he'll be significantly outgunned in this fight. I think his punches are less likely to affect Canelo who is a bigger guy than Pacquiao.
But no, Canelo just can't sleep on his power, either.Comment
