I went to Donaire/Arce (Houston), Canelo/Trout (Houston), and Mikey Garcia/JuanMa (Dallas).

Canelo/Trout was insane. Alamodome was filled to the brim with 40,000 or whatever drunk Canelo fans. I've never been to a PPV level megafight atmosphere -- but I'd guess that the Canelo/Trout atmosphere could hold its own with anybody.

I've been to quite a few fights, local and in Vegas, STaples, etc....I would just say that Canelo-Cotto would definitely be a fight where you'd just want to be in the building regardless of where you sit. That would be a good first fight to go. The energy should be great and it will put the Mexico v PR boxing rivalry in context. Maybe not as tense as Marg-Cotto I & II but still, great energy.

i've been to several in the west coast and vegas. my experience varies. you have great fights like matthysse-molina, the crowd energy was insane, and then you have ones like brook-porter where many people, including myself, are walking out long before it's over.

It's of course highly recommended to go Watch a live Card.

As for tickets, don't be cheap. I usually pick up seats from where you can view the entire ring, so look for a place where the ringposts will not obscure your vision. I also prefer to sit a bit elevated, so ringside is not always preferred or worth it IMO.

I was thinking mid section as well. Ring side might be cool but I don't want to spend thousands on a ticket..

Marquez vs. Diaz I. Good fight. Undercard had John vs. Juarez I. I thought John won that one.
