Nobody is the best ever , there is great fighters and there is good fighters and then the rest , Floyd is one of the great fighters in history , all the greats have bums on their resume and all fought in different eras with different training regimes , better taught techniques that sports science has continually improved as it evolved , and so have the sportsmen improved with the modern era of athletes breaking all records , which it should considering the money and research that has gone into performance , there is no comparing different eras with any accuracy only opinions arguing against opinions based on fans likes and dislikes .

Is Floyd the greated ever , I doubt it , but he is without a doubt an ATG along with many others that gave us a look at their greatness , I salute them all .

This is why there are so many more great fighters in the past.

Today, in the states, football is king, baseball is next, but king in my household..GO A'S, basketball and even hockey takes away from the sport.

How true is that statement i dont know but i can see it.
I think it is because of the damage modern fighters inflict on one another. People downplay training, but I genuinely believe modern fighters are doing too much damage to one another. One good war could essentially ruin a pair of fighters' careers before they reach a fraction of the heights their possibility could allow for.

Sugar Ray Leonard is also somewhat of an example. He had a great career but that one fight with Hearns trimmed a lot off of it. Robinson, on the other hand, was able to go back and forth with La Motta; I don't think it'd apply if both fighters were trained to do the maximum amount of damage to one another.

Beat Pacquiao in 2009, Martinez in 2010, Paul Williams, Margarito, Erislandy Lara and then some.

Too many fights didn't happen and that's why he can't be TBE.

I like the TBE title just because it pisses people off, it's weird because his fans don't consider him as such but his haters see it as an issue they need to attack. The way I see it, Floyd is well within his right to feel that way.

Last option. But still he is somewhere in top 50. It's subjective, but place him somewhere amoungst the greatest of all time. But the greatest. No he can not achieve that anymore. Unless he goes Hopkins on us.

NOTHING! Because it is no way he will ever be considered TBE because his ERA Was/Is WEAK

Beating Pacquiao Now or even a few years ago STILL don't make him TBE, staying with Top Rank and fighting Margarito and Cotto still would not have been enough to make him TBE

Mayweather ERA and this current ERA is all about "HYPE" you score an impressive KO against a Average fighter and ****** simple minded fans are ready to put that fighter in the Hall Of Fame and on every ATG List

What would have made him great is if Zab Judah and guys who beat would have went on to be great fighters themselves, that would have boost his legacy but instead it was the opposite, most of those guys declined after fighting Mayweather. Fighting Victor Ortiz is looking like a ***in JOKE now
