There is nothing Floyd can do to be TBE. He would need Pac and Golovkin, with Golovkin going on to have a great career afterwards, to probably crack the top 15-20.

These guys at the top of these lists are no joke. Boxing was a different game then, and these guys fought a hell of a lot of fights against a hell of a lot of good and great fighters. It's hard for modern fighters to crack greatness lists where the established fighters have so many good and great fighters on their resumes.

Ray Leonard is the most modern fighter to have an argument for top 10, and he's the model for how a modern fighter would do the same. You have to maximize a much shorter amount of fights to make your argument.

I heard Atlas say that the reason for this is becuase back i the day boxing was bigger and that boxing clubs can be found on almost every corner where these club fighters fought all the time and gained exp. to go on to the bigger fights. This is why there are so many more great fighters in the past.

Today, in the states, football is king, baseball is next, but king in my household..GO A'S, basketball and even hockey takes away from the sport.

How true is that statement i dont know but i can see it.

People in boxing are the only people we should listen to when it comes to this subject. Cause fans dont know shiiiiiiiiii and act like they know more about boxing than those that give their life to the sport. Just look at this site, fans think they know more than boxers and trainers. So you cant trust their knowledge of such. This is just to get people talking about boxing and generate money nothing more cause there is no way to know.

TBE atop the ring? at this stage in his career and age its too late for that for him, he had let the opportunity passed him by.

Even most of his nuthuggers won't agree with him on that one...

...but, what would it take for YOU to consider him "TBE" or even a top 10 ATG?

For me, he would only have to win 2 fights. PAC & GGG. I would do a complete 180 and give him mad props if he did that. Now before you say GGG isn't feasible, remember Floyd has a title at 154 and GGG is more than willing and able to make 154 for Floyd, Canelo, or Cotto. He is also pretty small at 160, and Floyd already fought Canelo so why not GGG?

A TRUE ATG would be going after the BEST, to prove he is the BEST.
he gets so overrated by his fans its hilarious. his whole career hes waited for the best fighters to age or decline before hed fight them. plus he has little power. how can you call someone tbe when he hits like a pillow. hed be an average fighter if he was forced to fight the top guys in leonard/hearns era. he would have retired a kid tho if he fought back then,,lol

Floyd only fought at a "complete high level" for a short amount of time.
To be considered the Best Ever you must be well rounded and have power.
Floyd is a defensive fellow who has never shown power at 147 and never
takes the initiative to lead in a fight. He has talent and excellent eye/hand coordination but would not make the top ten at 147 and since the majority of his bouts are at that weight that's where I place him.

The best fighters he's fought were not in their prime and he has not shown
any indication to take on his number one rival for years.
He's good but he's only great in this era! In past era's he would be KO'd!
                Ray.

Dont think floyd is even inside the top 40 atg....too many missing names in his resume and his biggest wins are really just good fighters not great..

Floyd's defense is the best i have ever seen tho ...offense, not too impressed still great..

Skillwise, i think floyd is top10 atg, unfortunately his resume is too weak...and thats what defines his position in the rankings..imo
