Are we pretending that Floyd has those titles still legitimately?

He has them because the WBA/WBC are hopelessly corrupt, and won't enforce mandatories on him or strip him of those titles - like they would with most other boxers.

He won them legitimately by beating the title holders in the ring...its pretty simple...Cotto and Canelo

It wasn't no Leonard vs LaLonde going on....making the champ come down 7 pounds to fight for belts at 168(newly created or vacated I believe) and 175


DLH fought Hopkins at 156, Cotto vs Martinez was a catchweight and both were for legit lineal titles

Not the first catchweight, wont be the last....dude outweighed him by almost 20 pounds fightnight

Canelo agreed to the catchweight, weighed 153 in his prior fight so how is it not legit and he dominated the kid

The issue is that most other boxers would be stripped of titles if they tried to do what Floyd has done. You need money if you want to have unified titles in two divisions, and keep them without having mandatories thrown at you.

The WBC and WBA have not enforced their mandatories on Floyd, nor have stripped him for not taking them, hence he still is unified in two divisions. It's not because of his skill, its because of corruption.

Theres a million ways to praise Floyd for his skills, because he is an ATG fighter. But saying hes great because hes managed to be unified in two divisions at one time, is a bad way to go about it.
