I only mentioned him cause of him beating Vasquez.. I considered Vasquez the number 1 guy because he reigned the longest and bent there longer and so him getting robbed, I don't know where to put bey.. I'm just saying that beating Beltran or Crawford doesn't make you the lineal champ. I think bey/Vasquez and Abril in the discussion..

This is why so many relatively new boxing fans have little to no understanding of what the lineal title is. You can't "fill" a vacancy. Different people have different criteria. Personally, I view "filling a lineal title vacancy" the same way I view HOF voting in sports. You just know when you know. And if there's any question, he's probably not. And with the current landscape of the lightweight division. I don't think either of these guys have done enough to be crowned the unquestioned champ in the division.

Beltran doesn't even have a belt, this isn't even a unification, I don't see how anyone can consider Beltran/Crawford as the lineal champ..
