Comments Thread For: Chambers Says Hatton Blocking Lucas Browne Battle

Heavyweight contender Eddie Chambers (39-4, 21 KOs), who returns to the game on November 8th in a clash with Marcelo Luiz Nascimento (17-6, 15 KOs) at Bluwwater in Kent, is already thinking about his next challenger - a showdown with powerful puncher Lucas Browne (21-0, 18 KOs).

Chambers is working hard for his return with trainer Peter Fury, who works with Tyson and Hughie Fury. He says Ricky Hatton, promoter of Browne, is not allowing the fight to happen.

Sounds like Chambers is trying to talk his way into a fight with Browne. And to be honest, I'm not sure Chambers is good fight for Browne. Eddie can be a slick quick handed counter puncher boxer and I'm not sure Lucas knows how to deal with that kind of fighter.

I was hoping neven pajkic would fight browne after he fought eric martel bahoeli for the Canadian title(browne beat him in 5). pajkic pulled out with injury & vcated the canadian belt. chambers would have little problems with browne in my opinion.

Browne should be defending his Commonwealth title. A fight with Alex Leapai would sell well in Sydney.

Pakjic,Leapai and Chambers are all solid competitive fights I would like to see them,Browne I expect would struggle with them all.fact is not one of them deserve a fight with him though.

Chambers let's be fair has done nothing since his title shot,he hadn't even done much to earn a title shot.I mean what would be his career high,a win over Dimitrenko ?! It isn't that I dislike the guy,I actually do.this is the problem in the entire boxing world, guys wanting title fights and shots at the champion without working the rankings.

Browne we now has been managed carefully to be on the position he is right now,as have Chisora and Fury.no way those guys fight a slicker sharper boxer in Eddie.high risk low reward.

Chambers had also beaten Sam Peter. He deserved his title shot but it was clear from the beginning he has no Chance against the towering Klitschko.
But i think Chambers takes Lucas Browne to School. Of course Hatton wont let it happen.

This might sound ridiculous, but what has Chambers done to earn a fight with Browne? He's feasting on light-handed punchers and, since joining Fury, resembles little more than a sparring partner for Tyson and Hughie.

This is what I think too,Browne is simply sat way above him and though he isn't as good a boxer Chambers has no right to a claim to fight him.Browne on the other hand has positioned himself nicely and has a right to be selective so his ranking does not slide.he was mentioned for avChagaev shot right ? Why would Browne jeopardise this, all he has to do is sit and wait on the aortic outcome.

Chambers has done nothing at heavy for a long time, flunked at cruiser between then and now,and now he wants to talk his way into the top 6-7 of the WBC ! C'mon really !

For a start the guy is lazy, not very entertaining to watch.Browne on the other hand is awful, but he has power to trouble the pretenders like Wilder,Chisora and Fury.
