Not really news, I knew about this months ago and really who cares? That company is going nowhere, Showtime will be done with that Floyd deal and tell Haymon to **** off and he'll be left with a bunch of average fighters with huge fee's that everyone would be fine not watching again. Broner not on TV anymore? Fine with me. Danny not on TV anymore? Fine with me, I don't want to see him win by robbery or win straight up against a can for tomato cans.

Why did you bring up Maidana/Mayweather? No one wanted to watch that lol.
Maidana/Broner, Matthysee/Garcia and Porter/Brook are the only good fights with Haymon. Add to the fact that, besides Porter/Brook, those fights took place a year and a half ago... Yeah, I can live without Haymon. Since that time Danny has fought Herrera (lost) and a Salsa. Mattyse has fought 2 tune-ups. Add the fact that Peterson isn't fighting Danny, Mattyse or Broner why would I praise Haymon when he let's the fights "marinate" like Arum does but then never actually gets them made in the first place boxing would be better off.Comment

There is a vast disparity between reality and what you wish was the reality. Not really news, I knew about this months ago and really who cares? Haymon, unofficially, has an output deal with Showtime. He, Espinoza, and Schaefer put something into motion that does not appear to be stopping any time soon; Showtimes ratings are increasing. Are the returns worth the increased investment by Showtime in boxing? It's going to be years before we can answer that question. Doesn't change the fact that Showtime has put a massive budget in the hands of Espinoza, and he's putting it all down on Al Haymon.
Not to mention the rumored NBC deal. I am no fan of Al Haymon, I think he's bad for the sport, but I'm not delusional either.Comment
