gamache's a *** for suing gatti for such a bull**** accusation. i guess corley should also sue cotto for unofficialy weighing in at something like 165 in their fight at 140.

how bout it joey? you wanna open up the frivelous flood gates or just continue living on with ur life like you've been doing ever since gatti ended ur joke of a career?
    u are clueless

at the weigh in as is heavily known gatti jumped on the scale and weighed nearly 160 lbs and jumped off right away when he saw he was overweight

then gamaches trainer said something about it and the new york state athletic commissioner at the place tony russo told gamaches trainer to shut up and quit trying to make a fuss.

the fight went ahead anyhow and gamache was injured. gatti should be held accountable because hes the one that was injured

gamache also had a lawsuit against the nysac

thats who he first filed suit with
    get ur facts straight

      Yep.

Gatti is accountable....he injured Gamache Ilegally and I think he should pay for it. That was inexcusable.

If Gatti's wt. was such a concern to Gamache's camp, they shouldnt have gone thru with the fight..not while being well aware of the dangers.

If that's the case then it's the Athletic Commision that should be held responcible, it's their job to identify this and they chose to not look into it more. Not Gatti's fault at all IMO.

I feel bad for Gamache, but cant help but think this is all about making some money off of the rich guy, which Gatti definately is. Theres no way that Gatti was the only guy Gamache ever fought that came in a little heavy....and youre right, thats what the damn Commission is for (only one of their jobs, but theirs all the same)

Great argument... that's exactly how I feel about it. These guys drain themselves to make weight, and weight gain before the fight is inevitable. Unfortunately, Gamache should've retired earlier in his career, and this wouldn't have even happened. Don't get me wrong, some guys, like George Foreman and Bernard Hopkins, have been effective approaching 40, and even over 40. However, too many guys manage their money poorly, and find themselves still fighting well past their primes. This is what happened to Gamache. I feel sorry for him, but the blame lies more on himself and his handlers than on Gatti. This won't hold up in court, and like I previously mentioned, it sounds like Gamache didn't manage his money well, and has doctor's bills piling up. This happens far too often... look at Mike Tyson... this is a sad situation, but Arturo Gatti is a true sportsman, and this has to hit him pretty hard. Many fighters have made a good living in the ring, and spent all their money, and it's unfortunate that many of them suffer severe permanent damage, and have nothing to fall back on.

Gatti made weight... that's all that matters. Are you saying Gamache didn't put on at least 8 to 10 pounds, because if you are, you're probably wrong.

                  pot calling the kettle black.

gamache couldve walked away when he saw gatti was overweight. he gambled in the fight and lost.

besides, the official weight was 140.5, thats all what counts. gatti's not to blame. and if gamache wants to file a fraudulent lawsuit, sue the nysac and not gatti.

gatti KTFOd you like the ***** that you are joey. live with it cuz whatever you do, nothing will change what happend.

There you go. The guy should be suing the New York Athletic Commision which is the sanctioning body not the other fighter. Tony Russo will be accountable for his act if it was true that he told Gamache's trainer to shut up. And Gamache's trainer will also be accountable for letting the fight go on.

Goddam desperate people. This case will be thrown out in the waste can because officially, Gatti's weight will be one in the records. If indeed Gamache's trainer saw that Gatti was over weight he could have protested right there and the true weight could have been reflected on the records.
