NBC did that with Main Events like 10 years ago and scrapped it even though they had some pretty decent fights.
Saturday nights, and Main Events has, had, no where near the roster Haymon has.

It's going to be a barometer for the future. I for one am excited.

wrong. look at all the haymon fights this year and you'll see they are ALL mismatches.

he won't stop making mismatches since he knows gullible farts like you will continue to buy into them. you should feel ashamed for supporting a slime ball like haymon. when will you understand that he isn't good for boxing?

nothing will change with haymon boxing. he'll continue with the mismatches and robberies.

I hope for the best because I just want to see great fights. However, I know that a persons previous actions are very useful in anticipating their intentions. Hence my tempered enthusiasm.

I don't even know what you are on about... Jump off a cliff for me. Fucking weirdo.

I support boxing and the fighters. I don't play the whole network and promoter feud game. You clearly do.. If it's Haymon, GBP, Top Rank, I don't give a ****. If they buy time slots on network tv out of their own pockets to give boxing a shot Im in, and Im excited.

hey that's not nice to say!

and why support haymon?? look at all the mismatches and robberies. how can you say that's any good for the sport that you claim to support? you support danny vs salka mismatches? santa cruz vs sparring partner mismatches? bey vs vazquez robbery? why turn a blind eye to something that is killing the sport you claim to support? i don't think you love boxing as much as you claim.

you need to look yourself in the mirror and be real with yourself for once. find the truth buried beneath all the filth and lies you've covered yourself with. jesus can save you.

Adding NBC to the mix makes sense. There's no way Haymon could accommodate all those fighters in one network. Otherwise, these boxers' families will starve. One network may be fine if they're fighting each other. Problem is, they don't, and they keep adding Salkas, Karasses, Diazes and sparring partners to the already large list.

                    Are we sure of that?

We've seen these television deals before...look at Don King on FOX, Top Rank on Versus, the UFC on FOX, etc.

Some of these deals start out alright but the quality of the fights almost inevitably goes down over time.

And let's look at what's happened with Haymon on both HBO and SHO.

He got GBP banned on HBO and the match-making on SHO has gone down considerably from where it was even a year ago.

Nothing in that suggests the NBC fights will be of any consistent quality (at least for very long).

There's also a reason he was protecting them before this year.

I just don't think it's the same reason you're suggesting.
