I don't like him, but damn could Floyd Mayweather fight back then. He was about as well-rounded as it gets.

Figuratively pressuring him by making him make the fight. Ignore the boos, be really defensive and use your legs. Not engage to a ridiculous extent. The pressure would be on him to come forward.

Imagine if Garcia, instructed Maidana, hey they expect you to go crazy with pressure. So your only goal is to not get hit, back up and move. Wait and wait. Let Floyd make the fight, if you see an opening go into crazy punching mode, and dont stop till the next round.

      Thoughts? Would it be effective?
Floyd fights good as the agresor go back and watch him vs sharmba mitchel. Even against castillo in the first fight in the later rounds floyd and Roger got desperate and sent floyd out to stand his ground and fight. And they ended up fighting in a booth for the whole round and floyd even though lost the round held his own.

I was reading this thread and some idiot(most likely a pacf@g) stated that Floyd didn't know how to cut of the ring. Wtf? I can tell he has never watched Corley, Judah, Mosley, Hernandez, spots in the cotto fight or Ortiz. It's pacquiao that has no idea on how to cut the ring off.

Didn't Canelo try to Box with Him and be patient and people bashed him for trying something different against Mayweather? Now of course Canelo is not fast or skilled enough to do that with Mayweather but he tried something DIFFERENT AT LEAST

Mayweather ERA and this Current ERA don't have fights skilled enough to pull that off against a Mayweather though

Lara or Demetrius Andrade MAYBE, guys with SKILLS and Versatility but I doubt any of those guys get a shot for his last 2 Fights of his career

Floyd actually is aggressive alot of his matches, but just in spurts. Take the Canelo fight, Floyd comes forward just not all wild like an idiot. Canelo was backing up and then when he's got a good feel on an opponent then he makes them chase him to the ropes and he's steadily gaining points, because I'd be willing to bet none of his opponents actually practice against that aspect of the match, but then they seem to realize Floyd is coming at them, half the fight is almost over and Floyd has you by points. Then they chase him to the ropes steadily getting tagged then is about three rounds to go and you know youre down, and then they wildly chase someone thats potshotting you and the crowd is going wild at you getting clowned by clean effective punching and desperation sinks in then he's not letting you get close enough to land something effective and why would he, he knows if he stays up hes probably gonna win and last rd is upon you and you damn sure arent going to catch him. Fight over and floyd has a UD. So he's aggressive some parts of rds to get in his opponents mind then he uses it against them. The genius of Floyd

thats very much within the rules, man. he isnt raking his eyes, he is merely putting his hand in his face to blind him. doing this for an extended period of time is against the rules, but just covering a guys eyes like that for a split second is legal. if he were to rake him that would obviously be a foul too, but he didnt do that at all.
