I'm convinced New England just follows UK posters around disagreeing just to troll them at this point. He's gotten bad with it.Comment

me made a thread a few weeks ago stating that "legacy didn't pay the rent." surely you ssee the comedy.
bradley made several times more in waiting for the pacquiao fight, and moving to top rank.Comment

you and i know exactly what was involved with that thread. we [americans] are just looking for some consistency.Comment

How do you make more money waiting than fighting as a professional boxer?
He had a $2m+ guaranteed fight with Khan and he chose to make $0 instead. That doesn't pay the rent.Comment

i'd have to go through the timeline to get the months down, but bradley had just split, or was in the process of splitting with with gary shaw.
gbp promoted khan at the time, and probably wouldn't have been OK with bradley fighting khan and moving on to fight pacquiao with top rank. promotors in the states almost always sign fighters to multi fight / year deals. mayweather is basically the only guy who signs a one fight deal.
whether it was because he might have lost [and i'd have picked khan to beat bradley in '11,] or whether he was avoiding the fight to sign with top rank, he made the right call. he ended up making a hell of a lot more money fighting on PPV three times under top rank.Comment

It would have been his last fight under Shaw. If he wins, he becomes undisputed champion, makes a tonne of money (50% of UK revenue also) and becomes one of the hottest free agents in the sport. Golden Boy didn't make it a condition that Bradley had to sign with them - they and Khan were extremely confident he would win that fight.i'd have to go through the timeline to get the months down, but bradley had just split, or was in the process of splitting with with gary shaw.

Bradley could have been on PPV three times after fighting Khan. The two things aren't mutually exclusive. Khan + Pacquaio = more money than Casamayor +Pacquiao. I know you're a Fat Yank but even you can understand this.
My thread was about if someone avoids one fight because they've got a far more lucrative fight directly on the table. Bradley had no guarantees when he turned down the Khan fight. He just turned down a huge offer and publicly embarrassed himself in the process.Comment
